The North Carolina Museum of the Coastal Plain is a regional museum that is dedicated to interpreting the ecology, pre-history, history and culture of fourteen counties in the middle Coastal Plain through exhibits, collections of significant and appropriate artifacts, and programming for people of all ages. The museum includes interesting local artifacts.
The museum is located in Wilson, NC on the third floor of the former Federal Post Office and Courthouse, a four-story Beaux Art-style building constructed in 1927.
